The Bean family of gun shows was created by Ernie and Helen Bean of Great Southern Gun & Knife shows in 1984.

Great Southern expanded so quickly that Victor and Todd Bean started Southern Classic Gun & Knife Shows in 1988.

Again, expansion created another show, High Caliber Gun & Knife Shows in 1992. Todd and his wife, Mary run the High Caliber Shows while Victor continues to run the Southern Classic Shows & Florida Gun Shows.

Sondra Bean formed U. S. Classic Gun & Knife shows in 1995 while also helping to run the other three companies.

In all, over 100 shows per year have added up to over 2,400 shows. Southern Classic will surpass the 700 show mark this year in 2008.

These shows utilize their experience in advertising via TV, Radio, Billboards, Newspapers and more to maximize attendance by both exhibitors and customers to buy, sell or trade guns, knives, ammo and related merchandise at the lowest prices and best selection.
